Rates and Turnaround Times

I am currently taking on new tech editing clients for knitting. When you contact me, I will give you a rough estimate of how many hours of editing your project will take, and we can establish the timeframe for the editing. If you do not have a style sheet, I can help you set it up based upon your pattern writing style - this will help save time on edits in the future.  The first time you work with me I offer a 25% discount so we can get to know each other!

Current turnaround is under 10 days.

  • Technical editing rates are $30 per hour, billed in 6 minute increments ($3 per increment).
  • Rates for grading, illustrations, graphic/layout work, and rush jobs are $40 per hour, also billed in 6 minute increments ($4 per increment).
  • Payment is preferred via PayPal, although other arrangements can be made.

"Corrina Ferguson is a wonderful technical editor and I wholeheartedly recommend her services. Her deep knowledge of all aspects of pattern creation, from diagrams to grading to marketing to designing itself, makes her a valuable resource when putting together anything from a single pattern to a cohesive collection." -- Mary Beth Temple
"Corrina really helped me to improve the quality of my patterns. Just after one round of edits with her, I approached my pattern writing so differently and more effectively. Her work made mine even better. Don't forget to have her do the charts and schematics as well - they are fabulous!" -- Jessica Anderson

"I love working with Corrina. She is thorough, understanding, and efficient." -- Kathleen Dames
"I know I can rely on Corrina to spot my mistakes, and I can always ask for her advice on all pattern released matters, such as how to explain a certain way to decrease inside a cable; how many charts to include; and to check my mathematical adjustments. I am so grateful that I always receive the best advice, and that Corrina will help me grow as a designer and polish my pattern writing skills." -- Linda Marveng
