Lacaune

IMG_5959.jpg

What do you do with rich, deep, dark colors? Heather says you do something open and lacy. Heather is right! Untitled

Lacaune is the 5th of the Seven Sheep, worked up in one skein of Baah! La Jolla in Winter Purple, one of the most intense rich, royal purples I've ever knit with! It's worked sideways - from tip to tip - with the pointed picot border on the top and the grand eyelet border on the bottom worked as you go along! The longest row in this beauty is less than 100 stitches which makes it a crazy fast knit.

With less than 100 stitches at its deepest point, you'd think this would be tiny wispy little thing. You would be wrong. It blocked out to only 22" deep, but it's 76" wide!!! That's plenty length for even a big girl like me to wrap up in. And because it's completely reversible you can wrap or fold it over any way you like.

Lacaune is offered in a 5-page PDF format with written and charted instructions available. I hate the writtens, but I know some of you love and cherish them, so here they are!
